Living in Panama:
In Panama, you will never feel far from home. When you
stay for extended periods in another country, it is
important to have the familiar services and the comforts
of home. Because of the long American association with
Panama, no other country on earth fits the bill better.
There is a distinctive and delightful Latin culture, yet you
will feel at home because American influences abound.
Panama is easy to get to – just 4 or 5 hours from the
United States and 8 hours from Canada. There are daily
non-stop flights from Atlanta, Houston, Los Angles, Miami,
Newark and Orlando.
The convenience of having a US dollar currency cannot
be underestimated – it makes daily life so hassle free for
a foreigner. It also is an important factor in stabilizing the
economy and reducing inflation.
Excellent communication is another important factor in
making Panama living easy. Telephone and cellular
services are readily available - along with high-speed
Internet access, which is actually more available here
than in the U.S.A. Electricity, water, and other basic
services are also excellent, which is uncommon for most
of Latin America.
If you are planning to build or buy a residence in
Panama, you will be pleasantly surprised by the high
quality and workmanship of construction. Homes are
tastefully designed, well built and moderately priced.
While most of Latin American architecture is dominated
by Spanish colonial style, Panama offers a wide variety of
architectural styles,including traditional French, English
and Spanish styles.

and livestock products. In addition there is local,
mountain grown coffee from Boguete and fresh fish
from nearby Pedrigal.
For the consumer this translates into a veritable

scattered throughout the city. David is also a major
commercial and distribution hub generating the
second most important economy in the country, after
Panama City.
As a result David has everything you need to live a
